Splinter the Terrorists
The editorial in your Oct. 20 issue, “Think Again, Israel,” should have also read “Think Again, Defense News”.
First, Bashar Assad was trained in England as an ophthalmologist and is not, as you stated, a “former dentist”. But more importantly, your criticism of Israel’s “onslaught” on terrorist groups as helping to splinter them “making them harder than ever to control” is exactly what Israel should be doing. Since when has the leadership of these terror networks counseled restraint and sought to control their attacks? By making them harder to control Israel is saving lives and rendering the terrorists ineffective. Defense News really had this one backward.
Sincerely,
Morrie Amitay
